Privacy notice

This explains what happens to the details you give us when you get in touch. The short version: we use them to reply to you, we don't sell or share them, and this site doesn't track you.

Who we are

SHOPFRONT is a web and brand design studio based in Cardiff. We decide how your details are used, which makes us the data controller. You can reach us at hello@theshopfront.studio.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry we receive your name, your business name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, the package or service you're interested in, and your message. The enquiry form sends these details to us through Formspree, a form service that passes them on by email.

If we go on to work together we'll also keep the details we need to deliver the project and invoice you.

Why we use it

We use your details to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work. The legal basis is that you've asked us to take these steps before entering into a contract, and then the contract itself.

We won't add you to a mailing list or send you marketing unless you ask us to.

How long we keep it

If we don't end up working together, we delete your enquiry within 12 months of our last contact. For clients, we keep project and invoice records for six years, as UK accounting rules require.

Who else handles it

• Formspree, which receives the enquiry form and emails it to us.
• Our email providers, who store the emails we send and receive.
• Vercel, who host this website. Like any web host, their servers record basic technical details of each visit, such as IP address and browser, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

We don't sell your details or share them with anyone else, except where the law requires it.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Our fonts are served from this site, not from a third party. Our Instagram link takes you to Instagram, whose own privacy policy then applies.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, correct them, have them deleted, or object to how we use them. Email hello@theshopfront.studio and we'll respond within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
